Teens from Across South Jersey Attend Library Summit at Voorhees


VOORHEES, NJ -- March 11, 2013 --

Over 20 TAB members from the Cherry Hill, Mt. Laurel, Bellmawr , Gloucester Twp. and Voorhees libraries met at the M. Allan Vogelson Regional Branch Library to share ideas on how libraries can serve the interests and needs of teens. TABs typically help to develop programming designed to attract and appeal to teen customers.

Voorhees Library Offers County One-Stop Career Workshops


VOORHEES, NJ – Feb. 20, 2013 – The Voorhees branch of  the Camden County Library System  is offering three free workshops for job seekers featuring help and guidance from a professional employment representative of the County One-Stop Career Center.

Each of the monthly workshops this spring will focus on how job seekers can use the state’s website to set up job search agents and to learn job matching strategies.

New Book Titles Available through the Camden County Library System

New Digital Newsstand Opens at Camden County Library System


VOORHEES, NJ – Jan. 28, 2013 – Starting in February, customers with a Camden County Library card will be able to download over 100 popular magazines through Zinio, a digital newsstand offered to subscribing libraries through Recorded Books. Magazines will be easy to download and view on a computer or on a range of mobile devices, including the iPad, Android tablet and the Kindle Fire.

Camden County Library Introduces New eMusic and eBook Collections


VOORHEES, NJ – Jan. 10, 2013 – The Camden County Library System is offering two new downloadable services free to its card-holding customers starting Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013.

For the first time, library cardholders will be able to download up to three free music tracks a week to their personal computer, iPod or any Mp3 listening device. Once downloaded, the music tracks will not expire or need to be returned.

County Library Customers Smash Previous Gift-of-Reading Record


Donations continued to be counted after last week when the Camden County Library System’s Books for Kids 2012 holiday campaign officially ended on Wednesday, Dec. 12. At last count it appears library customers and local residents gave over  3, 800 new and gently-used books, surpassing the old record by over 1,800. Thank you for your generosity!

Book Donations Set a New Record


Thanks for Your Donations!We did it!  Thanks to the generous donations of Camden County Library members we far exceeded our goal of collecting 2000 books for kids in Camden County.  The final count was 2,873 books. The Camden County Department of Children’s Services will sort and distribute the donations to kids in need of books this holiday season and in the new year. Thank you for your generosity!
