Description of Duties
 
The Adult Services Department of the Camden County Library is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and creative Librarian who loves to work with the public both in person and virtually.  
 
Duties include providing adult reference services in person, by phone and via email and chat; instructing library customers how to use our catalog, databases, digital content and services; collection development; developing, scheduling, and conducting a variety of in- person and virtual programs for adults including creating and teaching computer training classes; community outreach; and staffing the computer lab as needed. May act as the Person-in-Charge of the branch. May be scheduled at other Library facilities.
 
Education/Certification/Experience/ Requirements:
Librarian 1 requires:  A Master's degree in Library or Information Sciences in a library program accredited by the American Library Association or from a New Jersey College Master' program in Library Science that has been deemed acceptable by Thomas Edison State College.   
Librarian 2 requires: the above requirements and one year of full time equivalent professional librarian experience   
-Possession of a NJ Professional Librarian Certificate issued by Thomas Edison College or the credentials and willingness to obtain a NJ Professional Librarian Certificate upon hiring.    
-Appointee may be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.

Description of Duties
 
The Camden County Library System is seeking a Librarian to head our Technical Services Department and serve as a key member of the Library’s management team. This position reports to the Library Director and is responsible for overseeing all services provided by the Technical Services Department, including:
•    Acquisitions, cataloging, processing, selection and maintenance of all library materials, including digital materials.   
•    Performs cataloging and classification duties, supervises staff, and develops and manages a budget.   
•    Shares management tasks of ILS functions and configurations with the IT Department to maximize usability by staff and patrons.  
•    Assesses Technical Services processes to improve workflow and productivity.  
•    Keeps up to date with changes in technology and best practices and makes recommendations to the Library Director.   
•    The successful candidate will have cataloging experience and a strong working knowledge of bibliographic maintenance standards including Dewey Decimal Classification, OCLC/MARC records, and AACR2
•    Public Library experience and supervisory experience are preferred. Knowledge of Koha, including the acquisitions module, is a plus.
 
Requirements:   A Master's degree in Library or Information Science in a library program accredited by the American Library Association or from a New Jersey Master's program in Library Science that has been deemed acceptable by Thomas Edison State College.   Prior supervisory experience is a plus.  The chosen candidate will be required to obtain a valid Professional Librarian Certificate issued by Thomas Edison State College.

Description of Duties

The LVA-CC Director reports to the Director of the Camden County Library System, supervises three staff members and oversees all aspects of providing literacy instruction to ESL and Basic Literacy students.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
•    Developing, coordinating, organizing and scheduling adult literacy and education programs and events that are presented both in-person and virtually.  
•    Directing and participating in tutor and learner recruitment, organizing and conducting basic literacy and ESL tutor training workshops and providing small group instruction and training
•    Developing and implementing strategic goals and objectives as related to adult literacy
•    Writing grant applications, administering grant funds and writing annual and quarterly grant reports Preparing and administering a budget
•    Preparing and maintaining records, reports of program activities and statistical reports.  
•    This position may be scheduled at other sites and attend off site meetings as required.
