The Camden County Library System is seeking an Adult Education Coordinator.  The successful candidate will be passionate about adult education and working with adult learners.  The person in this position will:
•    Coordinate in person and virtual classes and programs in the areas of adult literacy (including Basic Literacy and ESL students), technology instruction and digital literacy, job seeking and employment and other life skills and basic life needs

•    Compile educational resources and referral resources for assistance beyond the library.  
•    Coordinate and attend outreach events to increase awareness of library services and resources.
•    Coordinate recruitment of tutors and learners for Literacy Volunteers of America—Camden County.
•     Identify adult education needs by communicating with residents, partners and community organizations.
•    As a member of our Adult Services Roundtable plan, organize and implement adult education classes
•    Develop and implement strategic goals and objectives as related to adult education.
•    Write grant applications, administer grant funds and write annual and quarterly grant reports for Literacy Volunteers of America-Camden County.   
•    Supervise three staff members
•    May attend meetings at other locations

The Camden County Library System is seeking a Librarian to head our Technical Services Department and serve as a key member of the Library’s management team. This position reports to the Library Director and is responsible for overseeing all services provided by the Technical Services Department, including:
•    Acquisitions, cataloging, processing, selection and maintenance of all library materials, including digital materials.   
•    Performs cataloging and classification duties, supervises staff, and develops and manages a budget.   
•    Shares management tasks of ILS functions and configurations with the IT Department to maximize usability by staff and patrons.  
•    Assesses Technical Services processes to improve workflow and productivity.  
•    Keeps up to date with changes in technology and best practices and makes recommendations to the Library Director.   
•    The successful candidate will have cataloging experience and a strong working knowledge of bibliographic maintenance standards including Dewey Decimal Classification, OCLC/MARC records, and AACR2
•    Public Library experience and supervisory experience are preferred. Knowledge of Koha, including the acquisitions module, is a plus.

Experience Requirements/Knowledge and abilities:
Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.
The successful candidate must have the following knowledge and abilities:
Knowledge of use and minor adjustment to sweepers, vacuum cleaners, floor waxers, polishers and other equipment
Ability to handle cleaning problems, lift and move moderately heavy objects
Ability to understand, remember and carry out oral and written directions
Ability to maintain the building or area in an hygienic and orderly condition
Ability to follow safety precautions and to report potentially hazardous conditions

The Senior Building Maintenance Worker (SBMW) will perform necessary general cleaning, maintenance, and minor repairs such as assessing and attending to any maintenance issues that include vacuuming, cleaning (restrooms/general library), trash, recycling, carpet cleaning, meeting room prep, minor plumbing and electrical needs, painting and other building maintenance duties.  The SBMW may also direct work assignments of the Building Maintenance Workers, and be called upon to fill in as needed.  Will be scheduled at various branches in the system as needed.
 
Experience Requirements/Knowledge and abilities:
One  (1)  year (full time equivalent) of experience in the cleaning and maintenance of furniture, fixtures, offices, and buildings
LICENSE: Appointees  will  be required to possess and maintain a valid driver's license valid in  New Jersey in order to perform the essential duties of the position.
Knowledge   of   problems, procedures,  and  methods   used   in inspecting,   analyzing,  and  determining   the   cleaning   and maintenance work to be done, and of materials needed.
Knowledge of procedures and methods effective  in  large  scale cleaning and maintenance work.
Ability   to comprehend established cleaning  and  maintenance practices.
Ability   to understand, remember, and carry out oral and written directions   and   to  learn  quickly  from  oral   and   written explanations and from demonstrations.
Ability to keep necessary records.
