Under general supervision, primary duties include performing a variety of public service tasks, including but not limited to, checking library materials in and out, registering customers for library cards and programs, processing holds, answering general questions from the public both in person and on the telephone, assisting customers in locating materials, shelving materials, providing basic computer assistance, providing curbside service, and other related duties as required. May be scheduled at other branches as needed.
 
Education/Certification/Experience/ Requirements:
Knowledge of basic arithmetic using whole numbers.
Ability to perform extensive alphabetizing beyond the first letter of a word.
Ability to converse courteously in person and using other methods of communication Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or oral one-or-two step instructions
Knowledge of KOHA and Dewey Decimal System and Basic Computer Skills a plus.  
Appointee may be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.

Description of Duties
 
The Adult Services Department of the Camden County Library is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and creative Librarian who loves to work with the public both in person and virtually. This librarian will develop programs, classes, and services to assist businesses, employers, entrepreneurs, and job seekers and will build relationships with organizations and agencies that serve the business community as well as those seeking employment.  
Duties will also include providing Reference and Readers’ Advisory services in person, by phone, and via email and chat; instructing customers in the use of our catalog, databases, and digital services; collection development; community outreach; teaching computer technology classes; and developing, scheduling, and conducting a diverse range of programs for adults;  other duties as assigned.  May act as the Person-in-charge of the branch. May be scheduled to work at other Library facilities.
 
Education/Certification/Experience/ Requirements:
A Master's degree in Library or Information Sciences in a library program accredited by the American Library Association or from a New Jersey College Master' program in Library Science that has been deemed acceptable by Thomas Edison State College.  
December 2021 MLIS graduates encouraged to apply.  
Librarian 2 requires: One year of full time equivalent professional librarian experience

Description of Duties
 
The Camden County Library System is seeking a Librarian to head our Technical Services Department and serve as a key member of the Library’s management team. This position reports to the Library Director and is responsible for overseeing all services provided by the Technical Services Department, including:
•    Acquisitions, cataloging, processing, selection and maintenance of all library materials, including digital materials.   
•    Performs cataloging and classification duties, supervises staff, and develops and manages a budget.   
•    Shares management tasks of ILS functions and configurations with the IT Department to maximize usability by staff and patrons.  
•    Assesses Technical Services processes to improve workflow and productivity.  
•    Keeps up to date with changes in technology and best practices and makes recommendations to the Library Director.   
•    The successful candidate will have cataloging experience and a strong working knowledge of bibliographic maintenance standards including Dewey Decimal Classification, OCLC/MARC records, and AACR2
•    Public Library experience and supervisory experience are preferred. Knowledge of Koha, including the acquisitions module, is a plus.
 
Requirements:   A Master's degree in Library or Information Science in a library program accredited by the American Library

•    Supervise branch staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, coaching, discipline, training and development
