Some of the Tech Takeout devices are available for checkout and may be taken home.  Others are available for use while in a library building.

  • ChromebookChromebooks
    Chromebooks are available at every branch to borrow.  You can check one out to use while staying inside the library for 2 hours or borrow one to take home for 14 days.
     
  • Mobile HotspotJetpack Mobile Hotspots
    The Camden County Library System offers mobile hotspots for checkout.  The Verizon 4G Jetpack can be used for internet access in the home, or while on the road. 
     
  • Library Document StationLibrary Document Stations
    Library Document Stations are available at every branch and can be used for sending faxes or scanning documents, photos, or IDs. (to flash drive or email).  Faxing is $1.00 per page and scanning is free.  
     
  • ScanPro 3500 computers microfilm scannerMicrofilm Scanner
    The ScanPro 3500, a computerized microfilm scanner, is available in the computer lab at the Vogelson Branch.  It can read several types of film. You can print, spot edit, save as a PDF or image file to a flash drive, or send as an email attachment.
     
  • Portable Charger
    Borrow a portable charger while in a library building to power up your handheld device.
    Available at all branches. In library use only.

    Available at all branches. In library use only.
    This distortion free magnifer measures 8 1/4 x 11 inches.  To use, hold 4 inches from source.
     
  •    Handheld Video MagnifierHandheld video magnifier
    Widescreen 5-inch LCD display, compact lightweight design, and built-in folding stand  and a focus-free camera with near view to read books, documents, newspapers, and labelswith  continuous zoom from 4x to 20x magnification in full color.
    Available at the Vogelson Branch.  In library use only.
     
  •      Magnifying Lamp
    This clamp-on Led magnifier lens enlarges 1.75 times.  It also has an additional high power min lens for additional magnification.
    Available at all branches. In library use only.
     
  •    Text to Speech ReaderPen
     ReaderPenScan text with this device to have words read out. ReaderPen also features a voice recorder and supports to store scanned text.
    Available at the Vogelson Branch.  In library use only.
