Description of Duties
The Camden County Library System is seeking a Technical Assistant MIS to join our Information Technology team.  Under the supervision of the Head of Information Technology the candidate will install hardware, software and peripheral equipment system-wide, with primary responsibility for one or more branches, manage trouble tickets, diagnose problems and perform preventative maintenance. In addition, as a member of the IT team the successful candidate will interact with staff on special projects, provide staff software support for Microsoft Office and perform other related duties as assigned, such as Android and iOS app development.

The qualified candidate will have experience with open source software such as Drupal or Linux. The candidate should also have a strong information technology background with experience in staff training and writing instructions. 

We are looking for a team member with extensive working knowledge in: Excel, Outlook, staff training, writing documentation; experience with HTML, PHP, javascript or other programming languages is desired.
May be required to travel to other Library facilities.
Requirements:

EDUCATION: Completion of sixty  (60) semester hour  credits  from  an accredited college or university.
NOTE: Two (2) years of  experience  in  the  gathering, retrieval,   maintenance,  compilation,   and   distribution of technical information in a public or private organization may  be substituted for the above education requirement or  Twenty-four  (24) semesters hours  credits  in  data processing  from  an  accredited college  or  university  may  be substituted  for  up  to two (2) years of the required  education and/or experience. Appointee may be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.

Description of Duties

The Adult Services Department of the Camden County Library is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and creative Librarian who loves to work with the public. Duties include, but are not limited to, adult reference services (answering reference and reader’s advisory questions using both print and electronic resources; providing instruction in the use of the catalog and databases and collection development). Additional duties include developing, scheduling and conducting: a diverse format of adult programs, community outreach and library sponsored computer training, all in conjunction with other staff; other duties as required.

Requirements:

A Master's degree in Library or Information Science in a library program accredited by the American Library Association or from a New Jersey College Master's Program in Library Science that has been deemed acceptable by Thomas Edison State College. Prior experience in Adult programming and circulation functions would be helpful.

Appointee may be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.

   Schedule may change based on Library needs

Status:   Permanent after completing 90-day working test period

Description of Duties
Under general supervision, primary duties include performing a variety of public service tasks, including but not limited to, discharging and charging library materials, computing and collecting fines, registering customers for library cards and programs, processing holds, answering general questions from the public, assisting customers in locating materials, shelving materials, emptying the book drop, assisting customers on the public computers and other related duties as required. May be scheduled at other branches.

Requirements:
Knowledge of basic arithmetic using whole numbers
Ability to perform extensive alphabetizing beyond the first letter of a word.
Ability to converse courteously in person and using other methods of communication
Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or oral one-or-two step instructions
Knowledge of Millennium and Dewey Decimal System and Basic Computer Skills a plus
Appointee may be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position.
