VOORHEES, NJ – Jan. 13, 2017 – The M. Allan Vogelson Regional Library in Voorhees offers a special “Cook Me a Story” program based on the book by Bryan Kozlowski Thursday, Jan. 19, 6:30 p.m. The presentation is part of the Camden County Library System’s on-going Books & Cooks initiative to advance food literacy.

Children Services Head Librarian Emily Moore said the family program will feature books, songs and finger-plays that all relate to a food theme.

“We’ll be reading two stories from the book “Cook Me a Story” by Bryan Kozlowski which is a great mashup between a cookbook and a storybook. As I read the fairy tales, we’ll be pausing to follow the matching recipe,” explains Moore. She said the library plans to serve Sea Foam Blue Lemonade and Soft pretzels during the program.

The library requests parents of any children with food allergies planning to attend to call in advance at 856-772-1636 x7360.  Registration for this and any program is available at www.camdencountylibrary.org/events .
