Teens from Across South Jersey Attend Library Summit at Voorhees

Advisory groups gather to share ideas on how libraries can meet teen needs and interests

Simone Brooks of  the Camden County Library’s Teen Advisory Board at Voorhees gives a thumbs up to fellow TAB members from five different libraries across South Jersey who attended a summit for teen library members at the M. Allan Vogelson Regional Branch Library in Voorhees on Saturday, March 2.

VOORHEES, N.J. – March 11, 2013 –  Over 20 TAB members from the Cherry Hill, Mt. Laurel, Bellmawr , Gloucester Twp. and Voorhees libraries met to share ideas on how libraries can serve the interests and needs of teens. TABs typically help to develop programming designed to attract and appeal to teen customers.

Sponsored by the Young Adult Library Services Association section of the NJ Library Association, the summit also involved fun activities and offered TAB members from different communities the chance to get to know one another.
