Power outage can’t burst library’s bubble as it plans to celebrate summer reading

VOORHEES, NJ – July 1, 2015 – A power outage last week may have forced the South County Library to postpone its plans, but it won’t stop the library from celebrating summer reading with a little fun on its new patio, Thursday, July 16 at 11 a.m. The party will move indoors if the weather is inclement.

Children and their families are welcome to join some mid-summer fun by blowing bubbles and making bubble art as the library’s summer reading programs continues for kids, tweens and teens continues.

The library system has added 107 new books for kids and young adults available to cardholders. So after the party, stop in and use the online catalog to check out a few titles.

Families and businesses in 26 different member communities are eligible for a free library card. Information is available online at http://www.camdencountylibrary.org/get-library-card or by calling the local branch.

Special Summer Reading Theme Programs

Don’t miss some of the special programs at the South County Branch based on this summer’s reading theme of Every Hero has a Story:

Superhero Kid-con, Ages 5 – 12,  Monday July 27, 11 a.m. - come dressed as your favorite hero.

Superheroes Presented by Sciencetelling, all ages, Sat., Aug. 8, 3 p.m. – original collection of tales with a science twist.
