What is the Personal Care Pantry?

The Camden County Library System is proud to offer a Personal Care Pantry, a discreet and compassionate service that provides free essential hygiene and personal care items to residents in need. Available at each branch, the pantries offer a variety of basic necessities, including socks, shampoo, soap, deodorant, and  period products.

The program, honored by the New Jersey Library Association with an Innovative Program Award in 2023, not  only provides practical support but also fosters a sense of dignity and empowerment. It directly aligns with  the Library’s core value of social responsibility—through it, we strengthen our communities and advance the  common good.

Many members of our community rely on our Personal Care Pantry, and we can’t do it alone. We’ve  distributed 14,237 items this year, including over 4,000 pairs of socks. By making a donation of new, unused  travel-sized toiletries and hygiene products you can make a direct impact on the lives of countless individuals  in our community. Your support helps ensure that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, has access to  the basic necessities that they need to thrive.

Thank you for considering a donation to the Camden County Library’s Personal Care Pantry. Linda A. Devlin, Library Director
