‘Read in the New Year’ Celebrations Designed Especially for Kids


VOORHEES, NJ – Dec. 11, 2012- The Camden County Library System is offering annual Read in the New Year Celebrations at seven of its branches.  Kids can celebrate the new year on their schedule before midnight with programs that include a countdown, craft, stories and lots of fun.

Camden County Library Offers Help and Services for Victims of Hurricane Sandy


VOORHEES, NJ – Nov. 13, 2012 – The Camden County Library System is stepping up to help victims of Hurricane Sandy. The library announced it is providing free, six month library cards to anyone displaced by the storm and welcomes them to use any of the system’s eight branches.

Gloucester Twp. Library Observes National Novel Writing Month with Write-Ins

VOORHEES, NJ – October 25, 2012 – The Gloucester Twp. Branch of the Camden County Library System is encouraging customers and aspiring writers to participate in National Novel Writing Month with three sessions of a special program.

Now in its 14th year, the goal of the national program is to help authors write a novel of at least 50,000 words from Nov. 1 to Nov. 30.  The Gloucester Twp. Library will offer an informational session on Thursday, Nov. 1, 8 - 8:30 p.m. to help those new to the program get registered on the national website at where writers can actually write, save and track their progress with the goal of writing a novel within a month’s time.

Haddon Twp. Student Artwork on Exhibit at Rohrer Library Branch


VOORHEES, NJ – Oct. 25, 2012 – The William G. Rohrer Branch of the Camden County Library System will display artwork of Haddon Twp. School District students during November as the first step in a National PTA Art Reflections Program.

Camden County Library Challenges Book Donors to Set a New Record


The Camden County Library System is challenging residents to give the gift of reading this holiday season. The annual “Books for Kids” book donation drive is seeking to surpass its previous record of collecting almost 2,000 new or gently-used books. The Camden County Department of Children’s Services will distribute the donated books to toddlers, children and teen readers just in time for the holidays.

Voorhees Library Big Fall Sale to Offer Over 50,000 Quality Items


The Voorhees branch of the Camden County Library System will stage one of the largest used-book sales in South Jersey on Thursday, Oct. 11 and Friday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Celebrate Teen Read Week with the Camden County Library


The Camden County Library System is daring teens and ‘tweens to read just for the fun of it during Teen Read Week, Oct. 14 – 20.  "It Came from the Library" is the theme for 2012.

Meet Local Authors during Event at Vogelson Branch


The Vogelson Regional Library is offering readers the chance to meet, chat and get their books signed by local authors on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 7 – 8 p.m.
Forty-one authors are scheduled to attend An Evening with Local Authors who will have copies of their books available for sale and for signing.  Over half the authors have written more than one book and will be bringing supplies of their different titles.
