Camden County Library System to Stage 2013 Summer Music Festival

Free events featuring jazz, pop rock, classical ensembles and more

VOORHEES, NJ – May 7, 2013 – To celebrate the Summer of 2013, the Camden County Library System is presenting a series of 16 live musical performances with each branch hosting two programs.

Offerings will include classical and jazz ensembles, electric violin, Motown songs, Broadway tunes, Irish music and more.  All the events are free and all ages are welcome making the programs something the whole family can look forward to sharing this summer.

Bellmawr Teens Attend Summer Job Hunt Workshop at Library

 

 

Just in time to find something for the summer, 14 local teens attend a job hunting workshop at the Bellmawr Branch of the Camden County Library System, Wednesday, April 24, 2013. 

 

Sit Down for a Four-course Dinner and Stand Up for Literacy

‘Courses’ for Literacy, a four-course sit-down dinner with wine pairings, will be held at the new Elena Wu Restaurant and Sushi Bar on Town Center Boulevard in Voorhees on Tuesday, May 21 at 6:00 p.m.

Sponsored by Literacy Volunteers of Camden County and Literacy Now, all funds will go to improving the literacy skills of Camden County adults.

Local Poet Presents Interactive Poetry at Bellmawr Library Branch

Local poet Craig E. Burgess reads from one of his books at the Camden County Library’s Bellmawr Branch, Wednesday, April 17.

Gloucester Twp. Branch Three-Day Book Sale

The Gloucester Twp. Branch is holding its Annual Spring Book Sale from Thursday, May 2 to Saturday, May 4 during these hours:

Thursday, May 2, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Friday, May 3, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Saturday, May 4, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The sale will feature a Bag Special on Saturday, May 4.  All proceeds from the sale go to support programs for customers of the Camden County Library System.
