Museum Closure Virtual Offerings

While area museums are closed due to the pandemic, you can still enjoy their educational, cultural and entertainment offerings virtually.  Here are just some of your options.

Academy of Natural Sciences    Science from Home includes coloring sheets, activities, and guides for identifying the birds, bugs, and plants in your backyard.

Adventure Aquarium    Check out their daily worksheets for kids and behind-the-scenes videos of the Aquarium's animals.

African American History Museum in Philadelphia    Sign up for free virtual performances, events, and screenings through the Museum's calendar.

American Museum of Natural History    Visit the Museum with a virtual tour of their exhibits, participate in live programming, and watch videos on Earth science.

Barnes Foundation    Explore the Foundation's collection online and check out videos of staff discussing their favorite works.

Battleship NJ    Take a virtual tour of our nation’s most decorated and largest battleship    

Brandywine River Museum    Experience the Museum from home with virtual tours and gallery talks, educational activities for kids, and recipes from their cafe.

Childrens Museum of Manhattan    The Museum is offering a variety of activities tailored to all age levels available for every day of the week.

Delaware Art Museum    Access the entire collection from home or learn about a specific piece. For kids, there are story times and art projects.    

Eastern State Penitentary    Take a virtual walk through the Penitentiary's historic cellblocks and listen to or read the audiotour
