Meet Local Authors during Event at Vogelson Branch

VOORHEES, NJ – Sept. 25, 2012 – The M. Allan Vogelson Regional Library in Voorhees is offering readers the chance to meet, chat and get their books signed by local authors on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 7 – 8 p.m.

Forty-one authors are scheduled to attend An Evening with Local Authors who will have copies of their books available for sale and for signing. Over half the authors have written more than one book and will be bringing supplies of their different titles. All sales are between authors and their readers.

“This is not a fund raiser for the library, and we don’t collect any money from the books sold at the event,” explained Shyamoli De, the adult services librarian organizing the program. “We are offering the evening as a service to our community of readers and writers. We believe libraries can encourage and support literary activities in our local communities and beyond through such programs,” said De.
