Audience of over 50 watched nine submissions by local teen video artists

VOORHEES, NJ – August 23, 2013 – The Camden County Library System is proud to announce the winners of its Fourth Annual M. Allan Vogelson Library Teen Film Festival held Tuesday night, Aug. 20, 2013.

The Judges’ Pick was “Stolen Hours” by 17 year-old Dan Mosley and the Viewers’ Pick was “Another Door Opens” by 15 year-old Jason Joseph. The pieces were selected from a field of nine submissions this year. Both Mosley and Joseph are students at Eastern Camden County Regional High School in Voorhees.

“I am beyond thrilled with the quality of film submissions we received this year.  All of the filmmakers did an incredible job.  I have gotten such positive feedback from our audience members and I’m already looking forward to the films I’ll get next year,” said Teen Librarian Christen Orbanus, the principal organizer of the annual film contest and festival.

A panel of four judges including library professionals and a former festival winner made their selection and afterward the audience was able to vote and weigh in on their choice.

All nine submissions, including the two winners, can be viewed on You Tube at

The contest was open to anyone between the ages of 12 and 18 years in the South Jersey area who could submit pieces anywhere between three to ten minutes long.
