VOORHEES, NJ – June 10, 2013 – The Haddonfield Cello Society performs its program “The World of Music” at the William G. Rohrer Memorial Library in Haddon Twp., Wednesday, June 19, 7:30 p.m.

The group, composed of a cello quartet accompanied by a violin and piano, has been performing at the library and the surrounding area for over 10 years. The program will feature tunes from Europe, Latin America, Africa, the USA and includes music by Beethoven, Mozart, the Beatles and Andrew Lloyd Webber.

Sponsored by the library as part of the Camden County Library System’s  Summer Music Festival, the group’s repertoire usually includes classical works, show tunes and popular songs for audiences of all ages. The group notes that the vocal quality of the cello has resulted in a large body of work written for cello ensembles.
