VOORHEES, NJ – February 11, 2015 – The Camden County Library System continues to offer free passes to 11 museums and other attractions in the area. Winter is a great time to take the family and visit some of the indoor venues available through the program.

Passes to the Academy of Natural Sciences, Camden Children’s Garden, Garden State Discovery Museum, Grounds for Sculpture, Morris Arboretum, Wheaton Arts and Woodford Wildlife Refuge  are available from any of the library system’s eight branches.

Passes to the The Guggenheim, Penn Museum of Archaeology, Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and the Roebling Museum are only available from the M. Allan Vogelson Regional Branch Library in Voorhees.

The program has proven popular with the library’s patrons throughout the county. Over eleven hundred passes have been borrowed since the program launched in July 2014.

The pass program works similarly to borrowing books from the library.  Adult cardholders in good standing (with less than $5 in fines) may check out one museum pass at a time per  family and use it for free admission to the selected museum or attraction for up to four days. Passes must be returned to the same branch from which it was borrowed.

There is $5 per day fee for each day it’s late. The borrower is responsible for the full cost of lost or stolen passes, which can be substantial. Costs vary by museum/ attraction.

The number of individuals admitted with each pass differs with the museum. Some passes entitle the bearer to additional benefits like discounts at gift shops or on food sold at the museums. Go to the or visit your local branch to learn more about the pass program and participating attractions.

Residents and business owners in 26 member communities throughout Camden County are eligible to get free library cards. Cards can also be purchased by non-residents. To see a list of member communities go to
