Check out the Camden County Library System’s eLibrary to read or listen to a great new book, watch a favorite TV show, learn a new language, or get access to professional research databases. All of that, and more, is available for free with your library card!   For most eContent providers, you will need your library cardnumber, your PIN, and an email address to register for the first time. Click on the eContent you’d like to access, then follow the prompts and, if applicable, make sure to select the Camden County Library System from the list of libraries.  Some eContent needs to be accessed via a special link. Just click on the eContent provider you want to log into your Camden County Library System account, then follow the link and any other instructions.

Full Text Magazine Articles. You can choose to search from one or a number of EBSCO databases, including General Reference, Biographies, Health, Business, and Current Events.

ERIC

Provides access to information from journals included in the Current Index of Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index. ERIC provides full text of more than 2,200 digests along with references for additional information and citations and abstracts from over 1000 educational and education-related journals.

LISTA

Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts subject coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more. Coverage in the database extends back as far as the mid-1960s.

Literary Reference Center

Features more than 10,000 plot summaries and synopses, 75,000 articles, 130,000 author biographies, 500,000 book reviews. Middle Search Plus

Contains full text for more than 150 middle school magazines and indexing and abstracts for nearly 200 magazines. All full text articles are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles). Full text is also available for thousands of biographies, historical essays and student pamphlets. Also contains Essential Documents in American History; an image collection of  photos, maps and flags; biographies; and primary source documents.

Full-text digital collection of the world’s major news content. It includes millions of articles from newspapers, newswires and news magazines. In addition, it offers television and radio transcripts and ongoing daily updates from popular news sources.

Northstar Digital Literacy Assessment

The Northstar Digital Literacy Assessment, offered through the Camden County Library System, is aimed at helping adults acquire the skills they need in today’s workplace.  You can take free assessments to help determine what you know and what you still need to learn. Camden County librarians will set you up with a customized learning plan and will proctor your assessment tests for official certification for employers and schools.  Ask at your local branch or use  Ask a Librarian to request a Northstar Learning Account.
