Donations and Gifts

There are many ways in which you may support the Library through donations of money, materials or time!

Book Donations

With sincere thanks to our community for many years of support through book donations, the Camden County Library System will no longer be able to accept donations of books or other media starting 03/20/2020.

Until that date, we will accept small donations of up to 2 grocery bags or 1 medium size box of materials if they are left in the blue donation bins inside the Library foyer at the Vogelson Branch.  All branches of the Library System cannot accept any book or media donations after 03/20/2020.

The Vogelson Branch will be having a final book sale at a date to be determined later in 2020.

Gifts & Memorials
We invite you to honor family members, friends and associates with a lasting gift of books or other library materials to the Camden County Library System.

For a donation of $25 or more ($15 for children’s materials) a new acquisition will be added to the collection. You may designate a specific subject area and the type of material you prefer - a book, audiobook, or movie -or let us select an appropriate item.

Each new item added to the library’s collection will receive a commemorative bookplate with the name of the person honored and the donor listed. Or you may make a donation in any amount to the General Gift Fund. We will notify the individual or family that you designate about your gift. The amount of all gifts remains confidential.

Books for Kids
Every year from mid-November to mid-December, the Camden County Library System collects books for the county’s disadvantaged children as part of its annual “Books for Kids” campaign. During this book drive, the library system accepts new and like-new children’s books from the infant to young adult age ranges in a separate bin from the regular book donations.

The Camden County  Library System needs you!   Experience the satisfaction of knowing that what you are doing is important, that your contribution makes a unique difference, and that you are being effective in the interest of others.  Our volunteers work at many different tasks that enable the library to provide better service to the community. Teens are welcome to participate and seniors and retired citizens are encouraged to help the library by contributing a few hours of their time each week.
