Camden County Library System Hosts Tall Tales with Kyle J

Storyteller Kyle Jakubowski lends an ear as he and his young audience listen during one of his interactive story times at the Nilsa I. Cruz-Perez Downtown Library Branch in July 2013.

VOORHEES, NJ  - April 9, 2015 – Kyle Jakubowski, resident storyteller at Rutgers-Camden Center for the Arts, will bring his engaging style to spin yarns for children at each of the Camden County Library’s eight branches during National Library Week, April 12 – 18, 2015.

Jakubowksi is known for working without a book and script yet engaging an audience’s imagination and participation to the delight of children at his story times. Five programs will be based on the theme of “Fractured Fairy Tales” at the following branches, dates and times.

Voorhees: Sunday, April 12, 2 p.m.

Bellmawr: Monday, April 13, 4 p.m.

Riletta L. Cream Ferry Avenue Branch: Wednesday, April 15, 6 p.m.

Gloucester Township: Thursday, April 16, 6:30 p.m.

Haddon Township: Saturday, April 18, 2 p.m.

Jakubowski will offer “Folktales from Around the World” at two branch locations:

South County: Tuesday, April 14, 6 p.m.

Nilsa I. Cruz-Perez Downtown Branch: Saturday, April 18, 11 a.m.


“Trees” will be his special theme at the Merchantville Branch, Wednesday, April 15, 3:30 p.m.
