ArtistWorks for Libraries provides interactive online music and art training

The Camden County Library offers a new service that provides online music and art lessons taught by professionals for library card members.

VOORHEES, NJ –  Feb. 22, 2016 -- The Camden County Library System now offers library cardholders the chance to get free, online music and art lessons through a new service called ArtistWorks for Libraries from Recorded Books.

ArtistWorks for Libraries provides library members with world-class music, voice and art instruction through self-paced video lessons taught by highly accomplished music and art professionals, including Grammy Award winners. The service consists of 24 instrumental, voice and fine-arts classes, from basic courses to intermediate instruction to advanced lessons.

Library cardholders can enjoy on-the-go learning without having to download an app because ArtistWorks for Libraries is browser enabled for both desktop and mobile devices.

“We’re excited to offer ArtistWorks as part of our ongoing commitment to bring cutting edge digital services to the communities we serve,” says Collection Development Librarian Ryan Lammers with the Camden County Library System. “We hope that many of our patrons will take advantage of the great instruction available through this service.”

Camden County Library Director Linda Devlin adds, “This is just one more example of how we are continually finding new ways to serve the diverse needs and interests of residents in our member communities and the public in general.”

More information about ArtistWorks is available online at http://www.camdencountylibrary.org/artistworks or at any of the library’s eight branch locations.
