Call for Local Authors to Meet Readers, Sign Books at Voorhees Library

Free opportunity to promote books Oct.10 at largest branch library in CamCo

VOORHEES, NJ -- July 16, 2012 – The Camden County Library System is offering local writers the chance to promote their books and meet readers at its Evening with Local Authors event on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 7 – 8:30 p.m. The event is free to both participating authors and the public and will take place at the M. Allan Vogelson Regional Branch Library in Voorhees.

Authors interested in participating must register in advance by Aug. 10. Each will be provided a table and chair with a name card to display, sell and sign books.  The library is only offering a venue for authors to meet the public. All financial transactions, including sales tax, are the responsibility of the authors representing themselves.

Authors have the option to donate a copy of their book in advance, which the library will put it in circulation so customers can preview it before the event.

The library plans to promote the event through internal marketing including its website, quarterly newsletter, in-house posters and by publicizing to local media outlets.
