Affordable Care Act Enrollment Begins Thursday, November 1st

Open enrollmentOpen enrollment for the Affordable Care Act Marketplace runs from November 1st to December 15, 2018.  Plans purchased during this time will begin on January 1, 2019.  

If you do not currently have medical insurance, you can explore coverage options and enroll at HealthCare.gov.  Apply using information about income and family members that you gathered after viewing the Checklist linked below.  Pick a plan after comparing qualified health plans.

 If you already have a plan,you should get 2 letters by November 1, 2018: one from your current insurance company and one from the Marketplace. Together they explain your 2019 coverage status, which plan (if any) you’ll be enrolled in or matched with if you don’t act by December 15, any changes in your coverage and financial help, and directions if you need to send the Marketplace any documents. You must tell the Marketplace about any changes to the information you included on your last application.
